I just updated to mavericks and now I can't launch iPhoto. There is a slash through the icon and it says this application is incompatible with this OS. Is there any way to fix iPhoto without me losing my photo library?

iPhoto

I am afraid this is the beginning of applications that are NOT compatible with the new OS 10.9. We have gone through this before...with Word 98 etc.
Soon we will see others post that their printer does not work with 10.9.
People are too quick to jump to updates etc just because it is available NOW
and do not wait to see what the real price is. Looks like you found out.

Unless I've missed something in your post, just check for updates now that you have installed OS X Mavericks.

There is an update for iPhoto (and iMovie) available for download that is compatible with OS X 10.9 - Mavericks.

Lost iPhoto with Mavericks OSX change

I can't update iPhoto or iMovie--I am in Mavericks 10.9.5

Apple Store says these are
"incompatible updates"---Now what ?? I own iLife 11, but that doesn't help either.

This sucks!!!! Can any one help me?
