Hi Community,

I'm thinking about buying iphone 5S, but I'm not really keen about getting that phone with fingerprint sensor. So the question is whether it is possible not to setup it during first boot? If so, will it prompt to initialize this feature in a future?
The idea is not to use this option and not even to allow phone to read my print ever.

Thank you.

Touch ID is completely optional.

Whether it reads your fingerprint and sends it to the NSA even if Touch ID is is not setup, I don't know.

You could also think about the 5C as well. Then you don't have to be concerned with Touch ID at all.
