iPod iPod 3rd gen revival!

About a year ago, my moms boyfriend gave me an iPod that he thought didnt work. So upon research, i found out it charges via FireWire, not USB. so, after about a year later i was finally able to get a firewire charger, and against all odds, IT WORKS! Im so happy, you have no idea. At first i was having doubts because i thought since it hasnt been charged in god knows how long, that it would need a battery, or a hard drive seeing as ive dropped it a couple times, but against all odds, it works flawlessly! Alls i need to do is get a new headphone jack for it and im good to go!

That's great that it works! I hope you're able to replace the parts easily that you might need to. I really like the 3rd generation iPod.

I just won one of those on Ebay yesterday, 15GB, and it looks scratched up. Guy doesn't even know if it works... but I do have the firewire/usb cord, so when it comes on Wednesday hopefully I will be a happy camper.
