Hi Folks,

I recently found my old iPod 4th gen click wheel. I plugged it in to the wall and the ipod is charging. While charging, I am also playing some of the songs on it, and everything seems to be working fine. Now on to my question - I would like to re-comission this ipod and start using it. Does anyone have experience in setting the ipod up with iTunes 9 and snow leopard? Does iTunes 9 support these older generation ipods?

Also, the music in the ipod was from an older system that has been discarded. Is there any way to get the music off of the current ipod?

Thanks!

download iPod Disk or Senuti to get the songs off. I have iPod Disk, it simple to use, just plug in the iPod, ignore the message iTunes gives you, launch iPod Disk and the songs on your iPod appear in a new drive in their folders.

As to whether or not it will work, why not try it out?
