I've been thinking about this for the past few days since my 5g has turned slightly pink (from some cleaner) and so I was wondering if maybe a faceplate from a Classic and a white click wheel would be interchangeable with the white plastic on my current iPod. I'm somewhat technically savvy and I've done a hard drive replacement on my 3g before. I'm aware there are lots of front plates on eBay and from ifixit from previous generations so it's only a matter of time until Classic parts are available.
Anybody think of why this wouldn't work?
