I tried a few search terms and came up empty. Has anyone seen this before?

iPod A1136 by tickm0, on Flickr

The screen isn't cracked, the face film has delaminated or wrinkled, perhaps from heat. The (trusted) guy who gave it to me says he didn't do anything stupid with it, it just happened.
I realize I will need to replace the faceplate, I was just curious if this is a common thing or what.
Thanks.

Ive bought an iPod like this before looked the same as yours, not sure how it happened though

I’ve got one that has this going on, but not to that extreme. Maybe something they were cleaned with at some point?

I've seen that on a couple of iPods; it's generally from heat or sunlight. I've only ever seen it on iPods that live in people's cars; when they're left in the heat and sun, they wrinkle like that.
