iPod iPod album art display

So i have a few songs on my wee iPod with the album art attached and when I play a song it shows the name of the song as well as a picture of the album cover. Nothing new. The other nite I dropped my iPod and when I picked it up the album art picture covered the whole display which I have never seen before. I cannot for the life of me figure how to display it in full screen mode...
Anyone?

repeatedly press the center button. It cycles through volume, scan, full screen album art, etc.

Tried this on my Classic and it doesn't have that option but does have other options I didn't know about, including a fast way to change the shuffle mode. Thanks for the tip.
