Even churches are getting it on with the iPod. Check out this website:
this is cool. I'm impressed . . .What next?
Eeek, the Theology of the iPod...
hmm, so let me put my seminary education to work and translate:
"The Discourse concerning God of the iPod"
Other than that, whos all for cheap gimmicks to get people to come to church, right?
Maybe they might give "free" shuffles to all new visitors during this time!
omg...that video/........SO BAD!!!!!!
What's so bad about the video? It looks pretty well produced to me.
I'm not so sure it's a cheap gimmick to get people to go to church. While the marketing of an iPod may grab people's attention, the sermons are actually taking ideas/principles the iPod actually use, and applying them to people's lives. I would know. I go to the church.
My church has around 5 iPods for event music and all the pastors use iBooks, powerbooks and one dual G5 (for editing). But seriously! A whole sermon about iPods? I wanna see that! At first I thought it was a little crazy, but then again my pastor did include an Xbox 360 in a sermon.
I am a minister and I have an iPod. There is nothing wrong with talking about how using the iPod applies to people's live, but what about people in the congregation that don't have an iPod? Or are all these churches from the same income brackets? Would this sermon series make them feel left out or not good enough since they don't own the latest and greatest? Not criticizing, just a lot of questions about how we "do" church today.
Here's a church that has made the news recently. Maybe some of them have iPods...
Now that is an interesting church, thanks for the link.
BTW: I bet they are the black iPods
