Ipod as HD for Time Machine

I know it isnt recommended, but I have an extra ipod lying around and I wanted to se how time machine works...does anyone know how I can do this?

if it doesnt show up automatically, google, " Time Machine on unsupported drive"

there is a terminal command that will make it show up!
