When I turn on my iPod, i get the folder with an exclamation mark error, and when I plug it in to my comp, it shows up on the desktop, but freezes iTunes. I don't want to do a hard reset, because I don't have my music backed up anywhere. I know how to copy music off of the iPod, but it appears that a few, if not many, of the songs are now corrupt, ie, they won't copy and freeze the computer. Is there any utility/app I can use that will back up a disk, regardless of disk errors?

Hop over to www.ipodlounge.com. Lots of forums and software that should be able to help.
