iPod touch Ipod Bricked after Installing real 2.0 fireware

Hi all,

I tried downloading the new 2.0 on itunes and it finally worked. It finsihed downloading then it tried to restore. It got stuck at "preparing to restore" for like a half an hour.Then there was an error and it said I had to resotre my ipod to use it with itunes.

I tried that and got this: There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod "iPod". An unknown error occured (1479.)

On the ipod screen it shows the itunes symbol and a connector cord with an arrow.

I tried DFU and stuff and nothing works.

Help Please 🙁

We are all on the same situation, you'll have to wait for the firmware to be released officially.

Do you think im a dumbass lol? Ya I tried that. I just contacted someone at apple support and they said it was on their end so I guess it's time to sit and wait.
