hey. wondering if anyone here knows of how to fix an ipod that has unresponsive buttons.
the menu button no longer works.
the forward button sometimes activates the menu command, but also works to skip forward
the back button works
the play button skips backwards
the menu button skips forwards.

so yea. any help would be much appreciated.

cant reset the ipod as the menu button doesnt work.

and i have tried to reformat the ipod already.

yea. its a little bit over a year now. had to take it to apple a few weeks ago cause apparently overclocking the computer causes teh firewire bus to become unstable. bother.

You could try going to the iPod's diagnostics menu to see if it's really the buttons that are failing.

You could try replacing it (the clickwheel) yourself.
Chez Apple it will cost you at least a nano when you're out of applecare.
