iPod Ipod classic 4th gen question

I have a 4th generation ipod classic with 20 gigs and it freezes quite a lot and doesn't have as much memory as I would like. Since I'm a hs student without the funds to buy a new ipod I was thinking about getting a new battery and hard drive but I was wondering if it is possible to increase my iPods memory by getting a bigger hard drive. Does anyone know?
