Does anyone have a recommendation for a better quality or higher capacity battery for the iPod Classic 5th Gen? Higher than 580 mAh would be nice. I installed Tarkan Akdam's iFlash adapter in a few of the units (love them!) and find there is now empty space above the CF card that could accomodate a larger battery.

I just ordered a refurbished 5g. I think I might upgrade the battery with a 1900 mah battery on eBay.

Talking to an eBay iPod reseller they said the thing 5g iPods max battery is 1900. Maybe 2000 will fit but 1900 seems pretty safe.

Hi,
I modded my iPod 5.5G. The iPod is now driven by a 1950 mAh battery and a 128GB SD Card. After 54 hours the battery was empty.
