iPod ipod classic colour help

I like both ipod classic colours, but am wondering which one is the most durable (ie: which doesn’t show the scratches)? Also, just out of interest how easily does the classic scratch (on the front)?

I can't see it scratching easily, but that doesn't mean it wont.

Also, black tends to show dirt and scratches easier in a general sense, I don't own a classic, so can not confirm this but I would say the best bet would be Silver.

Seeing them side by side, the black one just looks nicer to me.

The surface seems to be more durable than the iPod it replaces, but I noticed the store ones already had one or two nicks on the side where the metal surface meets the back. Obviously the store models get lots of abuse, but it may be something you need to be careful with.
