iPod Ipod classic help!

Hi! So I use my iPod classic (160 gb) as an external hard drive and while I was organizing my folders on it, I put some folders into the 'notes' folder and now my iPod is messed up. When I plug it into my computer it freezes and when I am able to access the hard drive of it, it shows that all of my folders are gone. Um help? Please? 😕
