I have a first generation video ipod. (I believe it's considered a 4th Gen ipod???) My question is, is it possible to get the spiffy new iPod Classic interface onto my 4th Gen Ipod to sprouse things up a bit. Just curious!

Absolutely not. The 5th gen (which is what you have btw, not 4th) when updated to have brighter screens, higher capacity (30GB and 80GB from 30/60), and the search feature weren't incorporating into the previous 5th gens, and those were hardware wise the same exact iPods!

The Classic is all its own, sorry to tell ya 😱

awh no worries... Just curious. My ipod is just sitting on my desk watching me as I play with my iphone.. he he.. thanks guys

I think the program AlterPod will do what you are thinking. I read about it on Engadget just a few minutes ago. Use it at your own risk however, bricked iPods have been reported!

I know I'm not gonna try it.
