Any help would be appreciated. I have a 7th Gen iPod Classic that I have loaded music on to. I recently wanted to update some of the music on it, but my macbook pro won't see it. It lights up like it's connecting, but it doesn't show up the "Connected" text, or appear in iTunes or Finder, or even charge for that matter. I have trolled the internet for answers, but no luck. I have tried different USB ports, different cords, disk mode, "Menu + Select" button reset, disk mode on a Windows PC, but nothing works. The odd part is, I have a Bose Sounddock that I plug it into, it charges, and plays just fine. I really want to be able to add some more music on to it, but I can't figure out what has gone wrong. Is it possible that something in iTunes has got corrupted? Removing all my music and settings and deleting the iTunes files is about the only thing I haven't done.Would this help?
BTW, I'm running Mojave on a late 2013 Macbook.

Try and give the 30 pin interface on the iPod a bit of a clean. Gently with a dry, clean toothbrush or a shot of compressed air out of a can. It appears to recognise it's connected to power and the audio plays through a dock but possibly one of the data lines is not connecting, so it's not being detected over USB.

[doublepost=1564055251][/doublepost]Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried all matter of cleaning and compressed air but no luck. As stated, the odd part is it will charge and play on dock, but won’t charge via wall plug or Mac, or be recognised by Mac or PC. I’m heading towards the connector may be screwed, but not sure how to fix without replacing logic board because it’s soldered on.
