iPod touch iPod classic or touch

are the ipod classics' memory SSD or chip based now? in the past they were spinning platters that were prone to breaking down. that's what always deterred me from the classic. the last spinning platter ipod I had was a mini. since than I've only bought SSD based ipods.

Classics still sport a 1.8" spinning hard drive.

They are still HDD based, but you can buy SSD replacements from OWC, and replace it yourself.

Yea, nano wouldn't work for me. Classic has far more space.

classic looks nicer and is cheaper but touch has the opportunity to down store apps/
