iPod iPod Classic Scroll Wheel problems

Hi guys,
Got a new 160Gb iPod Classic last week.
One problem, or rather i think its a problem. The scroll wheel only responds sometimes. I try scroling more on the outside of the wheel, the inside etc. Sometime i have to move the finger over it for like 30 seconds to get a response. As i said i bought it brand new.

Does anyone else have a similar problem/fix?

Yes I also face this problem in my ipod but it occurs for only some time but it starts working fine .

Do you mean it permanently fixes itself with time? or you have to wait for it to fix every single time you try and scroll?

Have you tried to perform a restore?
