Hello,

I'm looking for a portable iPod dock with a radio and vertical loading CD player in a silver or white colour. It is for use in the UK and Ireland.

I need vertical loading so that the machine is as small as possible, but top loading would be fine if the machine is compact.

Something like this http://www.ilive.net/store/p/27-CD-Boom-Box-with-Dock-for-iPod-.aspx - this link works now :)

This product is available in Australia but is labelled as a Grundig product.

Does anybody know the brand name used in the UK?
Can anybody help?

regards

...your link didn't work, was this what you were looking for:

http://www.salelectronics.com.au/ipod_dock.html

The 4th unit down has the vertical CD player...
J&J - that's the one. it's called iLive in the US.

A local toy store had pink and blue ones last Christmas. they were called iLive too, but I thought maybe the name had changed for the UK/Ireland.

Although the white would suit better, there are a lot of black iLive players on eBay. But there is differences in voltage, etc. between North America/Australia and the UK.

Thanks for responding.

Here's another quick search with the new name... it doesn't seem to get very good reviews though?...

Do you have to have a speaker set with built-in CD player?

Have you heard this unit in person?
Thanks, but that is the iLive one I link to in the first post.
I'm looking for something similar which would work in the UK (different voltage, etc.)

I was hoping for a vertical loading CD player to save on space.

But I'm having no luck so now I'm in search of any compact cd player/radio with an iPod dock that is AC powered but can use batteries - IN A SILVER COLOUR.

I've been in shops and online, and everything is black. or pink.

can anyone help?
