I swear a while ago you could buy an iPod with a slight discount if you were a student. Right now all of the iPods are the same price in the apple store and in the apple educational store! What gives? Is this the norm? Are the educational prices ever going to drop?

There's no longer a discount on iPods. That's what gives. Oh well. What's another $25?

When the iPod went from $300 down to $250, Apple discontinued the EDU discount on iPods. Your best bet is to either buy a mac (if you need one) and get a rebate on an older model, or just suck it up and pay for a new one.

even though the online education store doesn't have ipods at lower prices, your school book store might. i've seen lower prices at some schools, so it couldn't hurt to check yours out.

A month or two after they're released (my guess). So hopefully refurb touches for Thanksgiving.

A good place for iPods is MacConnection. They have no sales tax and usually knock off 5-10% off the price.
