Hi all, ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find a fix to this.

I have a 16 gig 1.1.4 ipod touch (jailbroken) and today I set up my home email, everything went fine till i went to send myself a test message. (User problem, not ipod problem) I mistyped my email address.. so of course it bounced, no big deal.

Except for the part now where my ipod remembers that mispelled email address and keeps trying to use it. Ive tried everything, including restoring my ipod and it keeps doing it.

Ive looked on the net, ive done almost everything i can think of and I cant remove this botched email address from the auto fill... do any of you fine people have any suggestions?

Thanks

Langille.

I Don't Know...

I've got something similar to this problem, but can't you just use the contacts or retype your mail address to click that one instead?

That's what i do - i know it isn't an iPhone, but the contacts book is still really handy. If you are using contacts, you just find that it's just a nuisance, i've no alternative... Hope that helps!

Thank you for the quick reply!

Yes, that does work and is what I will be doing for emailing, it's just a pain that I can't delete that faux email address from the list.

But yes, the contacts list works great. Thanks!

There are several things I'd like Apple to add as upgrades or firmware to the iPod touch. I'm not including things that would require a hardware redesign, such as internal speakers, external volume control, camera, etc.

Some of these items are currently available to jailbroken touches or as webapps, but I'd like to see them made available to everyone as native applications and without having a wi-fi connection.

1. The ability to mark and delete multiple emails. This could be done from the current edit when the red circles appear if you could mark more than one circle at a time, then hit delete to dump them all.

2. The ability to close all open web pages in one operation.

3. Be able to change fonts and attributes (bold, italic, etc, maybe even color), especailly in Notes and Mail.

4. Change the weather icon to show the temperature and weather conditions for the first location in the list. This could be similar to the way the date icon shows the current day and date.

5. A way to toggle the battery icon to show voltage, ramianing battery capacity or the icon, possibly by simply tapping the icon.

6. A single touch area to toggle the wi-fi on or off, possibly by tapping the wi-fi symbol area in the upper left of the screen.

7. change the clock icon to an actual clock showing the current time, possibly with a color change for day and night.

8. Instant messaging

9. Flash

10. A decent calculator, switchable between simple, scientific, algebraic and RPN functions, and with a multiple platform conversion function.

11. A single text search function for Notes, Calendar, eMail, etc.

12. A Back button in all applications so you could return to the previous application. For instance, now, if you are in Contacts and touch the address area you're directed to Maps to show the location. But then you can't get back to the contact you left from without going back to the main screen.

13. A placeholder in Videos/Movies so you could quit temporarily and then resume where you left off. Movies will currently bring you back to the beginning of the chapter you left off in, but not to the exact spot. This dosen't help if you don't have chapters saved.

14. The ability to create folders to hold multiple icons of the same type (games, etc.)

and the ability to remove a botched email address?
