I was notified that my iPod shipped this morning. Didn't see any other posts mentioning shipment. But mine should be here in a couple days. Now I gotta decide which 1000 of my 2100 mp3s get to take the first spin...

oh sure, iPods all around

Tech lust man. Drop the Visa. Sure its scary and may not be the best decision, but you a have a series of small monthly payments you can deal with later. In the meantime you can be happy while listening to your favorite tunes...

my credit card

...has to be paid off for college and grad school first from the 90s, then my IT school debts from last year, then the PC laptop i thought i needed in '99, then the recertifiction costs for being a microsoft tech, then for the LA vacation this summer, and finally once all those debts are paid off, then i could think of "small" credit card payments for the iPod, but that will be in 2003 so who know whats apple will have by then

if i had not used the credit card for all those things and paid cash only when and if i had it, i could have bought a 867 G4 cash out the door!

but if we did not over-extend ourselves with credit cards and paid all that interest, the US would be (my favorite "term")...a third world country

...so god bless debt

mmm credit

Yeah I feel you. My business is debt free which is rad. But nobody wanted to give me the "oh sure we can call that a business expense" vote of confidence I needed to make it a company purchase. I had set aside from cash from taking back minidisc players I got for Christmas last year. I didnt like the idea of just putting my music onto other media. This iPod finally works how I want it to. I have my assistants iMac plugged into a firewire drive and we rip all of our cds for easy listening in the office and to keep this place from cluttering up with discs. Ramble what?

hmmm, i think i hear my discover card screaming at me
"don't you want an iPod"

and I'll get cash back (yeah, right ... a whole 30 cents or so) at the end of the year with discover.

Since I am a recent college grad, my student loans don't come due till Jan 2002, so I might just spring for an iPod.

Here's wishing....

pc man

i am a simple pc tech, only because pc computers and networks fall apart more often and because of that, there is more work

if i were a mac tech, i would starve

our macs are just too darn stable...i mean, when is the last time you had to defrag or remove a virus?

jh

Damn, where was iPod last year when I was on a plane three times a week and sitting out bad weather watching EuroMTV and Japanese Infomercials? I could have used it then, but now I'm in this 9-5, 5minute commute gig and can't really justify it except as a nice toy. Ahhhh, I'll probably break down and buy one soon anyway.

True...

Its true what you say, (You know that!) There are three people in my Technical team at Seven Manchester (UK) We manage about 30 macs and 20 Windows Boxes. The macs are know trouble and they are working on 200-300mb Pshop or 500mb ArtPro Files. Where are the PCs which are work processing and E-mailing fall over often.

Windows SUCKS!!

My girlfriend thinks its so cute that I get stoked on geeky stuff like this. Gotta love her.

Sidenote... I am reformating my iMac 500 dvd and making it a OSX only box cause office X is coming out in a bit here. My assistant will be so excited.

word!

Aehaeheaha oh the puns...

Rad. I like hearing that. It looks great and sounds like it is a great application. Go microsoft. Go apple. Go up stock market...

in the iLoop

How do you guys get your hands on this stuff ahead of the game? I think that my crew here would be a great Apple test pool. (whoa... loop|pool) How does all that work? LEt me know online forum friends...

Getting stuff

I am an Apple and Adobe software tester (Through my company)

To get Microsoft stuff I get it from hlsearch.com

You can get tonnes or Beta and Alpha software from there, thats how I had OS X.1 two months before it was released. (Macworld Preview)

Thanks,
Guy Wickenden

even if I can't get the Ti2.. I can read about it and jump up and down thinking about it! and she just loves me more!

how sweet it is!
