iPod touch iPod exploded, will Genius replace?

So i went to sleep last night after the battery was fully charged on my 4th gen Ipod Touch. I unpugged it and set it next to my phone. I woke up in the morning because it was SOOOO hot. It started cooling down and the screen cracked. It hasn't worked since and I will probably drive to an Apple store(two hours away) tomorrow. I just want to make sure this won't be a wasted trip. Gas is expensive!

If it is under warrantee then just explain to them what happend and I'm sure ther will.

If i get a moody genius am i able to talk to another one or do I have to go straight to a manager. I still dont understand how this happened!

Here's a thought -- CALL and talk to someone who has the authority to say yes or no. Get their name, when they'll be there etc . . . THEN make the trip.

Do you have any pictures of it?

Tell them that it burnt your hands and it almost burnt your house down.

If they want to avoid the negative publicity and possibly a lawsuit, they should quietly and swiftly give you a replacement.
