iPod iPod freezing

My fathers iPod Video (30gb, 5.5g) keep freezing every 30 seconds, causing a reboot. It works fine, then freezes again. Anyone know what wrong? Obviously we've reset, reboot, charged, and I've even erased and restored. Is there anything we can do? 🙁

Check the drive with Disk Utility. Is it coming back with any errors? 🙂

thanks for the reply mate, but I forgot to mention its windows configured (he uses windows) will using it with my mac to check that affect it?

The Mac can verify and repair the PC-formatted iPod if necessary. Windows PCs have similar maintenance tools that should also be able to do this. 🙂
