I'm no computer expert, but would it be possible to remove IOS from an old iPod touch 4g and somehow plug it in to a PC and have the ipod use it's ram, processor and graphics card to give the computer a "boost"? I have an old ipod 4g with a battery that lasts 10 minutes that isn't worth replacing and i want to use it for something productive. I have an ipod 5g and iphone 4, so it's pretty obsolete. because of the battery problem, it can't be sold for more than a new battery costs. It's only an 8GB, so using it as a clunky flash drive is not very helpful.

even if you could somehow hook that up to your computer, it wouldn't even benefit your computer at all

your computer is probably optimized for Intel/AMD 64 bit processors, not ARM 32 bit processors (which includes the integrated graphics)

the RAM being used for your iPod is also different than the one used for your computer
