iPod Harddrive messed up??

I was listening to music and I needed to talk to someone, so I took the headphones off my ears while the music was still playing and noticed a weird noise... It was my iPod clicking constantly and buzzing really loudly, like a computer even. The song finished and the noise stopped.

Is this a problem?? I love my 3g iPod
