I have a Sony tape adapter that works pretty well in my Dodge. I also have a Monster FM adapter that I like because it charges the iPod. But I just bought this deck for my Jeep and it has an aux jack on the front, so now I just plug straight into that.

Originally, I used an FM adaptor for my Shuffle that charged at the same time, and didn't require a 3.5mm stereo plug to be inserted in the top of the iPod. For those that are wondering about antenna position, for me at least, it did work better with the antenna down. I drive a Suzuki Vitara though, and the antenna is just outside the top corner of the driver side window. It's really east to reach while driving and push it in or pull it out.

I got tired of the occasional interference and finally got a new head unit back in the Spring, that has a line-in on the front. Total cost installed was around $138, and worth every penny. Back in August I took a roadtrip up to Washington for the Penny Arcade Expo, and used my 60GB iPod Video with a car charger, and a Ziplinq retractable stereo cable:
