iPod ipod latest generation?

Sorry if the question has been answered in other topics, i couldn't find it
so, what is the latest generation of the ipod classic 160GB?
i know the 7th but is the 8th now out?

opinions differ if this can be called 7th or 8th generation. there are only 2 different 160GB iPod Classics - the one released in 2007 which features a 2-platter HDD (and no Genius and no Support for the iPhone-style remote headphones) and the one released in 2009 with a single platter drive, Genius, Genius mixes and 3,5mm Jack Remote support
