The fact that the whole iPod line is still treated as one product makes the iPod Buyer's Guide listing pretty useless altogether, don't you think?

Couldn't one of the mods separate the lines into iPod, mini/nano, and Shuffle, and adjust the update history for each accordingly, to sort out the mess?

Just a friendly suggestion. It's really not very usable the way it is now.

With the iPods though, it seems pretty hard to predict releases, etc. in general. Will the next release be a "generation increase", will it simply be a minor upgrade (HD capacity/price drop), will it be something new (shuffle) or will it be something new which acts as a replacement (nano->mini). The iPod world is a fast-paced one these days, so I don't know if anyone should be looking at the Buyer's Guide for assistance no matter how MR structures it - it's too hard to predict anything in my opinion!
