iPod iPod NANO 6th Generation Clocks NOT ticking

My iPod NANO works great all the applications work fine but out of no where the clock stopped ticking. I restored it to iTunes and when I went to check on the clock the second hand clicked once and then stopped again.
I have been looking all over for an answer but no luck.
