just bought a ipod 7th generation. problem is that my macbook pro is Snow Leopard, and because its, i think, 2007, early. i do have a Mac Pro desktop that i can use but would be nice to be able to use my macbook. is there a work around.

I'm confused - are you having issues because the Macbook is too old or too new? Have you tried updating iTunes itself?

yes ive tried updating itunes itself. software update says everything is up to date. but i need itunes 12. to be able sync with my new ipod nano 7th generation. i can only update my macbook to itunes 11.

so i bought a new 6th generation ipod nano. it will sync with itunes 11,and its smaller. i have 30 days to return the 7th generation ipod i bought,

Aww, that's lame. Sorry about that!

I know they are quite different iPods but the 6th generation is quite a nice one, I used to have a couple. Too bad it doesn't have bluetooth though...

That said, your Mac should be able to update to Lion, if not El Capitan, which does work with iTunes 12...

when i bought a 6th generation i remember asking the guy at the store if he was sure it was a ipod. well over the years my wife as gotten use to it and how it clips onto her when she is working out. she doesnt need, or care, about bluetooth. anyway i found one on ebay, new in the box, bought it.

thanks, yeah its perfect, in function and size. i understand that the 7th has Bluetooth but cant see where id need it. ill be getting it tomorrow and returning the 7th.
