iPod Nano and MacBook not getting along

When I connect them via the supplied USB, and open iTunes, it complains about the iPod not being able to be updated (error-44 or something), what's the deal with this?

Disk Utility

I had the same problem with my nano & MBP. I ran disk utility and did a repair on the nano. It's been fine ever since. Hope this helps 🙂
