iPod Ipod Nano Battery Problem?

So, I've had this nano for about 2 years now and there's a strange thing happening to the battery. When I charge it and the screen reads that it is completely charged, I use it for maybe 1-2 hours and it just dies on me like that (even when the battery life bar looks full).

Friends have told me to replace the battery. is that the issue?

It very well could be but I'd do a restore and make sure the software is up to date.

Is this the chubby? I've found those to have really good battery life.

I mean, the ipod mini, NOT the nano

I have the 2nd gen mini and i'm experiencing these battery issues.

DId you use an aftermarket charger? sometimes that can be the problem.
