iPod ipod nano memory

ive been going around looking at nano dissections and everyone says that the 4gb nano has 1 chip on the main board and a daughter board with another chip. but i have my nano with me taken apart nd there is no daughter board it is just 2 chips on top of eachother on the main board, i have a 4GB, is this normal, does anyone else find this in their 4GB nano? let me no
