I'm really interested in getting the next iPod nano (I really want a sweet iPod watch :p)
The only thing is, my iTunes library has grown to 22gb and nano's limit so far has been 16gb of memory.

Any ideas on if the new iPod nano will be capable of 32gb or larger or not?

Would love to see the iPod nano have 32GB but that hasn't happened the last two models now and I don't think its gonna happen this year either since the device has dropped video they probably think there is no reason to update it.

Only reason we even have 16GB is because Microsoft put the pressure on when they released their 16GB flash zune.

Bitrates have gone up since the 16GB model has been released its ridiculous to NOT have 32GB in my opinion.

Its also dumb that there isn't a 4GB shuffle either, I can only fit some 200 songs without conversion with the 2GB model. Only way I can get a decent amount is to use the 128kbps conversion.

That's a bit disappointing but thanks.
I'm still going to have my fingers crossed just in case.

The camera seems so useless
I understand it's all about marketing and blah blah, but just about everybody has a camera on their phone.
I wish they'd cater to my needs and not everyone elses :p

I'm very curious to see what happens to the Nano this year. Dropping video AND the camera seems like two steps back, and I've yet to be convinced that adding the touch screen was a step forward. FM radio, okay, that was kinda nice.

Personally, I don't give a crap about the camera, but my iPod Classic is starting to wear, and I'd consider something a bit lighter for a replacement. I do like the watch aspect. If it doesn't do video, though, I won't even look at it.

I would like to see the capacity of the Nano doubled to 32g as well.

I see a lot of people complaining about the 6th gen losing video capability, like the poster above me. I guess people always have to find something to complain about.

The nano is meant to be a really compact music player, with a screen to visually select/navigate your music. Which the 6th gen does better than anything currently on the market.

The size of the memory, as well as the screen on the nano isn't meant to store/watch video. To each his own, but I wouldn't want to watch anything on a 1 inch screen.

There are better devices available for video playback like the ipod touch.

What you're not factoring in is that the Nano STARTED OUT as a really compact music player. Video was added later, then it was taken out. So, did Apple make a mistake by adding video, or did they make a mistake by taking it away? It's one or the other. I don't think noting the drop of a significant feature is complaining for the sake of complaining.

And yes, there are devices for video, such as the Touch, but the Nano's clip design is very appealing for active lifestyles, to say nothing of the fact that it's cheaper and more rugged. You might think it's unreasonable for Apple to offer the consumer all these options in the same package, to which I'd respond that they managed to do so for two consecutive Nano generations-- why is it a challenge now?

Doubt we'll see a 32GB nano anytime soon. My guess on the new nano? Is this thing with full touch screen. Pipe dreams are gooooooood.
