I left the protective packaging on the nano since reading all the bad news about scratches. I will buy some protective screens from Radio Shack tomorrow. 😀

That's what they cost when they came out. The original 5GB one was US$399.

Here in Aus the 60GB photo was AUD$949 when it came out, I can get it now for about $550.

back in the mid 80's, computers went for $5000+. and that was when they had 4MB hard drive space.

I find it amusing that the early adapters of the iPod where ridiculed - 'How could you spend that much on a music player?' 'As if you'll ever need that much music' ... yet now everybody and their dog has got one.

Haven't used the 40GB iPod since I bought my nano though...

must post some better quality pics though - was too keen to get the nano - open - charged - and playing!
