iPod iPod Nike + Not working correctly

My iPod wont connect to my nike plus thing. Is there any way to restart it?

make sure you have the latest firmware for the iPod, also try resetting the sensor, located on the part you put in your shoes. I just plugged mine it, and the nike plus came out automatically.

Mine showed a message on my ipod when I first plugged it in stating that I needed to upgrade the firmware. After that it worked fine.
