iPod touch iPod not connecting to iTunes!

is this a normal glitch or bug for the iPod with 2.0 ? Also the iPod charges when connected the comp but doesn't show up on iTunes at all.

I usually have to restart the computer, restart itunes and wait, reconnect cables, and replug the iphone and then it works.
