iPod touch ipod not turning on or restoring!!!

i have an 8gb 1st gen ipod touch. it recently started turning off randomly n when i put it to restore on itunes it froze on restoring firmwere no the computer reconizes it but it doesnt turn on wit the sleep n home button.... is there another way i can restore it?

Put the iPhone into DFU or Recovery mode and do a restore in iTunes.

Ipod turning on but not all the way! Please help!

Ok so I can turn on my Ipod but it'll only go to this screen that has a picture of A music Note in front of a CD and the word Itunes below it and a picture of a USB cord and an arrow poiting from that to the Itunes icon. I plugged it into Itunes but it just says that It cant pull up my Ipod because I have to enter in my Lock code! but my Ipod wont go to any screen besides the one I just described so I cant. Ive tried restarting numerous times. Plz HELP!!!🙁

You should try restoring it on a different computer.

just take it to an apple store, they should be able to get it working again or at least tell you what's wrong with it.

Yeah your best bet is to call up Apple Support, they should help you out nicely.

so i got it to work after dropping it a couple of times but itunes say its still needs to be restored but everything works is there any way ad music on ipod w/o itunes?

Try creating a new user account and then restoring from DFU mode.
