iPod Ipod Radio Remote connect to Iphone 6 plus

I have and Ipod Classic and a Ipod Radio Remote.
Have bought a 8Pin to 30Pin Audio Adaptor.
But the Iphone 6 Plus does not support the Radio Remote??

Can anyone help

The clue is on the fact that it says ipod on it. This never worked on any iPhone's and is only compatible on iPod nano 1G, 2G and later; iPod Classic 5G, 5.5G and later.
