iPod touch iPod refurb section empty

I'd agree. Folks who got cash for Christmas have likely snapped them up.

And maybe others who got brand new iPods for Christmas exchanged them for refurbs and pocketed the difference? Refurbs are as good as new apart from the plain packaging.

As was said, stock varies. I expect that any new iPod models would be announced in September or October.

Check the refurb store regularly and be ready to buy when the model you want shows up.

You will not see a new Touch design until Sept 2014 at the earliest.

The Touch 5th gen refurb was sold out during Christmas.

Also depends on the time of day. In the UK they seem to empty the refurbished store at night, and in the morning it is back.
 
The iPod nano is available refurbished again. I suspect we'll see some iPod touch models added again in the near future.

Just remember that models can sell out quickly. The refurbished iMac model that I'll be buying soon tends to only be available for an hour or 2 before it's out of stock again.

I agree with the others...apple was probably low on stock especially after christmas. You may be able to find one in a month or two.

I doubt it has anything to do with the next iPod touch coming out-I think it is proven the next iPod touch will. Come out in September-November
