iPod Scratches

Why do ipods have to scratch so easily? 2 days and it has a small hairline scratch damn

I got over that after the first month or so, i decided i could either really enjoy the ipod, or worry over the scratches. I take it to the gym, so it gets some occasional scratches from bouncing around my gym bag/car, but in the end if its still playing its little heart out its worth it.
