My son's iPod Touch 4G (running 5.1.1) has a corrupt screen - it's white, with lines horizontally across it. At a guess, I'd say the problem looks hardware-related.

The iPod still "works", in the sense that I can hear the noises from it (screenshot capture, music, voice control, etc) and it shows up in iTunes just fine. I even managed to use iTunes up Restore it and Update it to iOS 6, but the screen is still borked.

I've posted a short video of the screen here:

Any ideas? Thanks

The Dropbox link didn't work, but from what you've described, sounds like a trip to the nearest Apple store is in order.

BTW, did you perform a hard reset to see if that would cure the problem?

The video is still uploading to Dropbox, dunno why it's taking so long, it's only 5 seconds long!

Anyway, if by "Hard Reset" you mean hold in home/power button, yes, I've done that, no luck.

Also, as I said, i've done a full Restore/Update to iOS 6 in iTunes, still no luck

Something's goofy. I'd visit the Apple store for a diagnosis. Hopefully there's one nearby and they'll replace it on the spot.
