iPod touch IPod stuck on Boot logo

I jailbroke my iPod and it was going fine until I dropped it on the power button and it was being a pain in the neck so is restored my ipod to see if it was the jailbreak making it not turn on or off so i restored it and it's stuck on the boot logo and the computer won't recognize it i've tryed everything please help!!!!!

Have you tried DFU mode?

Open redsnow
Choose extras
Click just boot tethered
Follow instructions

iPod will not function again.
