iPod Ipod to MacbookPro transfer. whats the best software?

i have a classic 30GB ipod and i want to transfer all my music to my new macbook pro.

whats the best software to do this?

ive read some reviews on senuti and irip and i just don't feel reassured, especially paying $20.
most say there is good free software available..

any ideas, suggestions, reviews?

Senuti is an excellent option if you don't mind paying for it. It's also free if you're crafty enough. 😉
