iPod Touch 2G, MC version, iOS 4.3 - no jailbreak?

I do not have SHSH blobs saved. Am I screwed?

Is there a method of downgrading without saving SHSH blobs? I'm almost certain I did a downgrade on my AppleTV 2G without SHSHS blobs saved.... am I wrong?

Thanks. I bought this Touch secondhand from someone who told me it was a 2G. Apparently he didn't know.

I went on the web and it's definitely a 3G. I may be in business!
