iPod touch ipod touch 2nd gen water damage

so yesterday i accidntaly left the top half of my ipod lying in iced tea. (i had no idea) the ipod is not responding to anything. i have invisible shield on my ipod and on the back, it is foggy, there also seems to be some water trapped in the screen. what can i do to fix this?

i would leave near a radiator for a few day's and hope it works -

soak it in alcohol for 24hrs and then hairdry

so this is what happened to me. i left it in my shorts and it went through the wash. then i said i was SOL. about 3 weeks to a month later i was bored so i tried to turn it on. it worked perfect.
