iPod touch iPod Touch 4G - AutoFocus

Do you guys think that it will be possible for a firmware upgrade to enable autofocus for the iPod Touch 4G's camera? Or will it have to be in the hardware leaving us to next year's September event or even the year after that?

As far as I can tell, the Touch already has a nearly infinite-range focus lens.

You should search the app store for photo apps. There are quite a few, and some claim amazing capabilities for the Touch camera.
